Sabre-Automotive© is software specifically designed to cater to the needs of the automotive industry. The application is implemented using the Progress relational database and 4GL systems which results in software which is highly portable across a wide range of machines and operating systems.
All Sabre-Automotive
modules interact seamlessly with each other, thus keeping data entry to a minimum while retaining an easy-to-use and consistent user interface. This high level of system integration permits customer-oriented functions and easy access to other features not directly related to the task at hand. For instance, a parts clerk can easily switch to a customer enquiry or workshop job enquiry if security settings permit
Sabre-Automotive features fully on-line processing, pull-down menus, user memos, perpetual calendar, basic calculator and context-sensitive on-line help at both program and data field levels. Users may also maintain their own business-specific user help screens.
System security is designed to be effective yet user-friendly by providing login password, supervisor function password, workstation access
times and program procedure restrictions.
Sabre-Automotive was originally developed in 1992 specifically to meet the requirements of an automotive dealer. Over the years, it has been consistently enhanced in practical working environments and is constantly being upgraded to match and surpass user demands.
The application is marketed by Nassco Limited.
